GRFT exists to help hardworking people in the construction trades run their businesses better. We teach practical skills that save time, boost profits, and help business owners win more of the right kind of work.

Our goal is to take the stress out of the business side of things — so tradies can focus on doing great work, building strong teams, and growing successful companies. We’re here to make business simple, effective, and built for the real world.

I’m Giovanni Barreca, founder of "GRFT" and "The GRFT Academy", and I’ve spent over 20 years working at the intersection of trades, business, and strategy. From building my own award-winning Plumbing & Heating business to leading partnerships at major construction and maintenance firms, I’ve seen first-hand what it takes to grow and scale a successful trade-based business — and where most business owners struggle.

My background covers everything from sales, marketing, and customer service to systems, strategy, and team development. I’ve worked with sole traders, subcontractors, suppliers, and big industry players — helping them simplify operations, win better work, and build strong, sustainable businesses.

What sets me apart is my focus on the customer experience and the psychology behind consumer trust — something many tradies overlook. I specialise in helping construction business owners cut the noise, remove friction, and build businesses that run better, earn more, and serve people with integrity.
