I’m a communications and partnerships professional with over 20 years’ experience helping businesses turn strategy into results.

My background spans OEM manufacturers, tiered suppliers and the UK construction industry — sectors where detail, timing and trust matter.

I’m Giovanni Barreca, founder of "GRFT" and "The GRFT Academy", and I’ve spent over 20 years working at the intersection of trades, business, and strategy. From building my own award-winning Plumbing & Heating business to leading partnerships at major construction and maintenance firms, I’ve seen first-hand what it takes to grow and scale a successful trade-based business — and where most business owners struggle.

My background covers everything from Communications, Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to Systems, Strategy, and Team Development.

I’ve worked with sole traders, subcontractors, suppliers, and big industry players — helping them simplify operations, win better work, and build strong, sustainable businesses.

What sets me apart is my focus on the customer experience and the psychology behind consumer trust — something many tradies overlook. I specialise in helping construction business owners cut the noise, remove friction, and build businesses that run better, earn more, and serve people with integrity.
